Chapter History

The Delta Mu Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was founded at Old Dominion University on February 15, 1964. Alpha Xi Delta takes pride in being the first Panhellenic sorority to colonize on Old Dominion's campus. Through the past 52 years, the Delta Mu Chapter has made wonderful memories, which can be seen in the many pictures on our social media accounts. We have many on-campus philanthropy events, including Paint Wars, which started here with the Delta Mu Chapter and is now a philanthropy event Alpha Xi Delta's do all over the country! We have won several local awards for our chapter's success and are continuing to grow as a chapter by making positive contributions to Old Dominion's campus. We currently have 30 active initiated members and always look forward to meeting and welcoming more women home to Alpha Xi Delta.
